CASI is working jointly with OC-ALC to define and implement an exchange program. This program would be modeled after the highly successful NSF GOALI program. The program would fund a 6 months to a year project on a topic of common interest to CASI and OC-ALC. The project would involve joint work of a university principal investigator and a technical sponsor. The work would occur at OC-ALC or at an OC-ALC designated location.

First offering of the GOALI program is anticipated for CY2004, and initial announcement of the program with a call for applications is expected for Spring 2003. It is likely that the timing would coincident with the existing sabbatical or off-campus duty programs of the CASI universities.
