Research Programs

CASI supports a number of research programs designed to support the aviation community while also increasing the mutual awareness of the CASI research community and the aviation community. Programs include both solicited (customer-defined) and unsolicited (proposed) topics.

  • Immersion Projects usually occur during the three summer months, mid-May through mid-August when the schedules of university researchers are relatively more flexible and allow focused and intensive work on a narrower topic.
  • Research Projects may be of any duration but generally include one or more academic years.
  • University/ Industry Liaison Experiences is an effort of 6 months to one year during which a CASI researcher and an aviation community sponsor work together at an off-campus location.
