CASI sponsored Immersion Projects at Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center in the summers of CY2000, CY2001, and CY 2002. A similar program will be held during summer of CY2003. The mission of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center is force readiness through maintenance, repair, and overhaul of military aircraft and systems. The intent of these Immersion Projects is to focus intensively and produce near-term benefits while gaining the insights and contacts to create more value in future work. Priority is given to those applicants whose proposals best indicate a clear understanding of OC-ALC needs, and which would provide the greatest beneficial impact over the next five years. Researchers interested in applying for this program are encouraged to work closely with potential OC-ALC project sponsors to learn OC-ALC requirements and priorities. Potential OC-ALC sponsors are encouraged to contact the CASI Program Office or a CASI Director to locate professors interested in working in their areas. |
