CASI sponsors or facilitates a variety of
programs designed to link the aviation community and with the members
of higher education research community. These programs include:
- Projects,
- Education and Training.
Projects
There are three types of CASI projects:
CASI customers can access CASI researchers as primes, or as first-tier
or second-tier subs. Possible projects include CASI researcher instigated
and customer defined research programs. We have no preconceived notion
of what that mix should be. Rather we hope that through continuous,
vigorous exchange between the aviation community and the CASI Researcher
community that both groups develop research efforts creating value for
both groups.
Solicited (customer defined) Program
CASI customers can define and tailor their own research programs and
use CASI researchers as the sole, primary, or secondary (sub to others)
researchers and/or research managers. The coalition seeks a healthy
mix of CASI Researcher instigated research along with customer defined
research programs. We have no preconceived notion of what that mix should
be. Rather we hope that through continuous, vigorous exchange between
the aviation community and the CASI Researcher community that both groups
develop research efforts which are of great organizational value to
both groups.
Education and Training
As a higher education coalition linked to the problem domain of the
aviation community, CASI is uniquely positioned to develop and deliver
specialized programs of education and training, including:
- Degree programs,
- Short courses,
- Seminars, and
- Web-based training.
