History

CASI was established in Spring 1999 from an integrated team of scientists and engineers from three top universities in Oklahoma. Initial funding was received in Summer 1999 from Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE).

In the following year (Fall 2000), the Center was chosen to represent Oklahoma Higher Education to the Science & Engineering Career Panel of the Education and Training Partnership (ETP) between Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC) and OSRHE.

This Center has been working closely with the aviation industry and has becoming an effective partner with government and industry, providing significant acceleration of the creation and deployment of new technology and business practices in the aviation community.
